Buffett Sells Big Oil, Healthcare and Others

In Berkshire Hathaway’s latest quarterly 13 f  filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission billionaire Warren Buffett disclosed the sales of the following stocks:   CarMax (KMX), ConocoPhilips (COP), Exxon Mobil (XOM), Gannett (GCI), Ingersoll-Rand (IR), Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), Moody’s (MCO), Procter & Gamble (PG), SunTrust Banks (STI), UnitedHealth (UNH) and Wellpoint (WLP)

Is this a sign that big oil has had it’s day and petroleum will be cheaper in the future? If so, this will be good for other sectors of the economy  including transportation and trash hauling companies that have huge fuel expenses. Companies including United Parcel Service (UPS) , FedEx (FDX) , Republic Services (RSG) and Waste Management (WM) will all benefit from lower expenses and better operating margins if oil declines. In the quarterly filing Buffet sells large amounts of oil stocks (COP & XOM) and increased the holdings in Republic Services (RSG).
