Antilia the Mumbai house of Mukesh Ambani

By Anne Horan

Mumbai can now claim its bragging rights to being the first place in the world to have a billion dollar home. Mumbai billionaire, Mukesh Ambani has built his new 27 story home for his family of five and named it Antilia. The building is named after a mythical island that was once located in the Atlantic Ocean west of the coast of Spain. Antilia was said to be the place of the Seven Cities of Gold. Other legends have Antilia as the place where Hercules placed his pillars to warn of the dangers of the sea. Neither legend has anything to do with the city of Mumbai.
